My main review of this airline is found here https: The main and very significant difference was the seat. With a moveable headrest, I was able to get a good night's sleep. The blanket they provide is also very warm indeed. It was also French Blue's other plane they only operate 2!
Perhaps also the first time I've had hot chocolate on a plane, which was nice! Check-in and baggage claim were all straight-forward, the food was very tasty, the film selection was varied, and the new aircraft an A was spacious.
I particularly enjoyed its live external camera feed during take-off and landing. As a reasonably tall person 6ft 1 , the seat was a little uncomfortable for sleeping, since the headrest didn't move, meaning I had to slouch, which made my backside uncomfortable. Otherwise, the only major faux-pas was not giving a free breakfast which we'd paid for because the conditions had changed since our booking.
However, since I'm fairly laid-back, I didn't make much of a fuss! Others would probably have been more annoyed. Overall though, a decent flight at a decent price. Frnech blue is operated by air caraïbes , seats are ok , the food is good and you get some good wine i not too demanding. The only problem i had with it the last time , they left my bag in the plane so i had to wait an extra 2 days beffore i get it.

This flight was cheaper than I could believe when I booked online I have been steering family and friends away from this airline after experience a terrible flight from SFO to Paris. After booking I received an email saying I needed to present to the SFO check-in counter in person as soon as possible or to email them a copy of my passport to confirm my identity otherwise my flight would not be confirmed.
Obviously not very orthodox or convenient. I tried calling their airline but nobody was able to translate even simple English for me. It took me two trips to SFO just to confirm that I had in fact booked the tickets with the airline and even then on the morning of the flight at baggage check they were uncertain if I had tickets.
I cannot say anything poor about the actual flight because it was the economy flight to Europe that I expected, generally uncomfortable. It was pay or don't fly scenario. Overall the actual plane and attendants were average and not an issue. Their customer service was dismal and check-in was dysfunctional at best I'd recommend going with another carrier even if it is more expensive upfront.
They have no affiliation with any airlines therefore they can not accommodate if something happens to one of their three planes. Flight to SFO to Paris delayed over 24 hours without notification. Found out at Airport. French Bee offered to reimburse for dinner, breakfast and Uber but over a month later have yet to receive reimbursement.
If your flight is canceled make sure you hold on to boarding pass and luggage claim. French Bee uses this as a loophole to not paying customers of canceled flight for hotel transportation and food. Pretty sneaky if you ask me. As much as I want this airline to survive I don't think they will with such poor ethics. Flights were on time, plane was brand new, food was inexpensive, flight crew super helpful and I had a whole row to myself on both flights!
I think the negative reviews stem from changing bookings which I would not recommend especially if you do not speak french. You cannot beat these prices! I'll definitely fly French Bee again when I go back to Europe! Budget flight from SFO to Tahiti and back, on time departures and arrivals, new planes, comfortable seats, and food isn't very expensive. Would fly again, and would recommend to those skeptics out there! Beware, you may not be able to fly even if you purchased the ticket with confirmation!
I planed for my family vacation in Paris and booked tickets through their website in January. I paid in full When I saw the correct amount was charged in my CC statement. I should be all set for my trip, right? The CSR went inside the office and talked to her boss in France and said that only way she could get us on board is to pay the full price at the gate.
CSR said she believed me and my documetns, but there is nothing she could do but charging again. I argued until 15 minutes before the boarding time, but I really had to pay not to ruin our vacation.
I even visited French bee office in France, but the response was the same - There was nothing they could do but claim through their website. After coming back from France, I filed the complaint through their website and called number, but I have not heard from them for 2 weeks. Luckily there were available seats, and we were managed to make our trip although x2 the ticket price , but we were not be able to fly if it was a fully booked flight. I am also suspicious that they are also discreminating against non-French people.
I'll be the odd one out to post a positive review. But the price couldn't be beaten, and I had some flexibility had my flight been delayed a day or two. A bit of delay getting out from SFO but flight was super fast, brand new As helping here, with a 9h40m flying time.
Planes are brand new As, with leather seats and have huge entertainment systems with lots of movies, even in coach. I didn't get the meal, but meals looked better than normal.
You can still order meals or food even you originally didn't purchase it. FAs were corteous and nice. Overall a good experience. The plane does not take off 3 hours after boarding time. Everyone is super unhappy, and the reason is that less than 10 passengers are stuck at custom. Try to avoid this airline. Or your tourism mood may be ruined. I'm glad I checked the reviews before booking this airline.
As experienced by most of the reviewers, our flight was also late. Luckily, we remembered to check the flight status before making our way to the airport. And sure enough, flight was delayed for over two hours. Instead of spending excess time at the airport, we were able to rest comfortably at home.
The flight itself wasn't too bad. The plane is brand new and has some features we had never seen before external camera, bigger screens, etc The flight crew was nice enough. They gave us a free meal for the delay, although getting food at 2 am is not ideal. Overall for a budget airline, I would rank it better than average. Definitely worth it for the price-point. Of course, we were lucky and there were no delays or baggage loss. But there are very few airlines that handle customer service well when there is a delay.
I was excited to go there by this new company, French Bee. I got in the plane at SFO, waiting for its departing. Waiting and waiting for a few hours and they announced they had tech issues and decided not to take off.
All the passenger including myself were kicked out at 2 am. I picked up my baggage and went to the check-in counter. They handed me a paper, said they would reimburse for the ride home, hotel and food before the flight. So I left SFO at 3 am by cab. Even then, the flight delayed a few more hours Later I emailed them where I was instructed to. They responded in a few days, asked me to submit some documents.
I kept all, so I submit them all. So I emailed them back, explained and ask them to honor what it says on the paper. Then they ignored me. I followed up with a few email but they ignored me. This correspondence went on for a few months. First they made themselves look like they are a decent airline but later they shot me from behind. Where is my money!!!!??
Oh, yeah, I was supposed to take another flight, inter-island one after arriving Papeete. I missed it and what was worse was that the flight arrived at Papeete really late, so I had to stay there over night. O, French Bee, it's the worst and crazy airline company I've ever taken. Don't be tempted by the cheap cost Excited by the prospect of a direct flight from SFO to Tahiti. Booked Premium Economy refundable, this will be key in a moment I submitted a request for refund, took a couple weeks for a response - fair enough - in the email they asked me to confirm my request and indicated it would take days for refund to process.
At the two week mark, I called to check on status. The woman was pleasant, but told me it would take a month to refund. I am now at the end of the month window and only received yet another email indicating the refund is processing. I wholly suspect this airline is in trouble and trying to hold on to payments of refund requests for as long as possible delaying the refund.
If you want a huge headache on your hands go ahead and book with them I didn't even get to the point of having a flight cancelled on me! I get there quickly as they are ready to close the gate, talk with unfriendly b.
I refused since nothing wrong had been done on my part and she said not to worry as I could get on the next flight Dec. I went back to Paris in a cab and spent the night at a small hotel. I never heard back from her or anybody else, I called their customer service twice that day and both times were lied to by agents with phony promises. I have travelled twice a year to Europe for the past 20 years and never experienced anything like that.
